Tinplated steel plate, commonly known as tinplate , refers to a cold-rolled thin steel plate with a thin layer of metallic tin plated on the surface. It has a certain strength and hardness, good formability, and is easy to weld. The tin layer is non-toxic and odorless, and the surface is bright. Tin mainly plays a role in preventing corrosion and rust. According to production processes, it is divided into hot-dip tinned steel plates and electroplated tinned steel plates. Commonly used can bottles or beverage cans are made of tin plated plates.
